Tempostat (automatic equipment of maintenance of the set speed) *

 

Tempostat allows to remember and automatically to support demanded speed at level not below 30 km/h.

Inclusion темпостата

Tempostat can be included after ignition key turn in situation 1. Press the button 1. Thus on a control panel the control lamp will light up.
You can use the tempostaty.

Movement with the set speed, storing of speed and dispersal

Press the button 2.

The actual speed of movement which will be supported by a constant is entered into memory темпостата. In each subsequent pressing of the button speed will increase by 1 km/h.

If to hold the button 2 in the pressed situation, the car will be dispersed without impact on an accelerator pedal. If to release the button, the speed reached to this moment remains in memory and will be supported at this level.

Delay

Press the button 3.

If before movement already occurred in a mode of maintenance of the set speed, by each pressing of the button speed will decrease by 1 km/h.

If to hold the button 3 in the pressed situation, at movement in a mode of maintenance of the set speed extent of opening of a butterfly valve automatically will decrease and movement will be slowed down. If to release the button, the speed reached to this moment remains in memory and will be supported at this level.

Work interruption темпостата

At included темпостате press the button 1. The control lamp continues to burn. If necessary you can use again the tempostaty.

Besides, work темпостата automatically interrupts in the following cases:

- When braking.
- At switching off of coupling or when translating the lever of the AT selector from situation D in situation N.
- For BMW 318i, 320i, 323i, 328i: if the set speed is exceeded throughout more than 30 with and more than on 16 km/h.
- For BMW 320d: if the set speed is exceeded throughout more than 30 with and more than on 16 km/h or decreases more than by 20 km/h.

Call of speed from memory

Press the button 4.

There will be a call of last of the entered values of speed to which it at first will be finished, and then will begin to be supported at the set level. With ignition key turn in situation 0 темпостат it will be switched off, and the entered value of speed will be erased.

Switching off темпостата

Having interrupted work темпостата, once again press the button 1. The control lamp will go out, and the value of speed kept in memory will be erased.

To use tempostaty it is impossible, if the route abounds with turns or if the increased intensity of movement does not allow to move evenly, and also on slippery (because of snow, a rain, ice) the road or weak (gravel, sand) soil.

If at movement under a bias of brake effect of the engine it is not enough, the set speed can be exceeded. On liftings its reduction if engine capacities do not suffice is possible.
