Adaptive control system (AGS)

 


Automatic transmission of your car is equipped with an adaptive control system (AGS) which is thin reacts to style of your driving and road conditions. Thus a certain program of gear shifting automatically gets out.

The system registers turns, liftings and biases. When passing turns at great speed it, for example, does not make switchings on overgears. On liftings switching on overgears is carried out only on high turns of the engine better to use its moshchnostny possibilities. On descents the system makes switchings on low gears if registers increase in speed of the car and pressing of a pedal of a brake.

Engine start

Start of the engine is possible only if the lever of the AT selector is in situation P or N.

Change of position of the lever of the AT selector


On the forward party of the handle of the lever of the AT selector is available (it is shown by an arrow), the button of blocking preventing erroneous transfer of the lever of the selector in provisions R and R.Dlya of removal of blocking press the button.

Before inclusion of transfer of a forward course (lever transfer from situation P or N) press the brake pedal, otherwise the lever remains motionless.

The pedal of a brake should be held pressed up to the moment of a start of motion as if one of transfers is included, the car slowly will move even idling.

If you want to leave the car, without switching off the engine, transfer the AT selector lever to situation P or N and tighten the parking brake. Otherwise probably spontaneous troganiye of the car from a place. Never leave the car with working engine without supervision as it is a potential source of the increased danger. At erroneous transfer of the lever to situation N at movement on high turns at once dump gas. Wait, while the engine will not reach idling turns and after that transfer the lever to the necessary situation. Otherwise because of too high turns possibly engine damage.

R - lay situation

Include only after a full stop of the car. Driving wheels are blocked.

R-backing transfer


Include only after a car stop.

N-neutral situation


Include only at long breaks in movement.

D-the main mode of movement with automatic gear shifting


This situation corresponds to a normal mode of movement. All transfers of a forward course are automatically switched. Functioning of AGS system is not limited absolutely not.

3-sports program


At such provision of a control lever of AT the AGS system uses exclusively sports program. AT makes switchings before the 4th transfer.

2 and 1 - movement on mountain roads and in a mode of braking by the engine


Include for restriction of number of working transfers, for example, on steep slopes or descents in mountains. Switchings are carried out automatically, however only before the chosen limiting transfer.

Mode of the maximum acceleration with fall of transfer (“Kick-Down”)

Electronic control system of gear shifting

Automatic transmission with Steptronic* system

In addition allows to use and manual gear shifting.

For manual gear shifting transfer AT control lever from situation D to the left to the M/S line. Thereby you make active sports programs of gear shifting. A lever contact in the direction “+” or “-” you give team to Steptronic system on transfer switching. If you want to return to an automatic mode of gear shifting, transfer the lever to the right to situation D.

Automatic transmission of Steptronic is equipped with the adaptive control system (AGS) described above.

At the first contact of the lever there is AT switching from the sports program on a manual mode.
if you translate the lever forward and the direction “+”, the box is switched to an overgear, and when translating lever in the direction “-” it is switched to a low gear.

On the indicator of the chosen transfer it is highlighted М1... М5.

Switchings on raised or low gears are carried out by AGS system only at the corresponding turns of the engine, that is, for example, switchings on low gears at too high turns of the engine are not made. On a control panel for some time there is an indication of the chosen transfer. At consecutive performance of several switchings for short time the inadmissible transfer is highlighted chosen as the last. Then on indication the transfer included at the moment is deduced.

At movement in a manual mode for acceleration from the 4th or 5th transfer at low speed - for example, when overtaking - switching on a low gear should be carried out manually or with Kick-Down function use.

Switching with M/S on R, R, N is possible only through situation D.
