1 Disconnect a negative cable (-) the storage battery at the switched-off ignition. The battery is in a luggage compartment behind a cover on the right side. At BMW 316i, 318i cars the battery settles down in an impellent compartment.

As a result of shutdown of the storage battery data from memory of malfunctions of some monitors are erased. If necessary before shutdown of the battery it is necessary to consider these memories of malfunctions. Address to the Section Diagnostics of malfunctions. Work it is desirable to lead HUNDRED in conditions.

2 Remove an airmodular box, address to the Section Removal and installation of a box of an air inlet.
3 to Disconnect a gas drive at a butterfly valve branch pipe, address to the Section Removal, installation and adjustment of a drive of a butterfly valve.
4 Remove an air hose between a filtering box of air and a butterfly valve branch pipe for what weaken collar fastening.

5 Unscrew bolts of fastening of the top part of the inlet pipeline at a forward support, and also at a back support (an arrow on an illustration).

6 Disconnect a vacuum hose-1-.
7 Disconnect a vacuum hose to the inlet pipeline at the amplifier of a brake. For this purpose some effort is required.

8 Unscrew bolts of fastening and remove the top part of the inlet pipeline.

9 Merge cooling liquid, address to the Section Replacement of cooling liquid.

10 Disconnect a hose of cooling liquid at the lower part of the inlet pipeline for what weaken a collar (the shooter on an illustration).

11 Disconnect directing pipe of the index of level of oil at the lower part of the inlet pipeline (the shooter on an illustration).

12 Open the cable channel at the engine. Disconnect electric wires from specified below elements. Accessions mark a tape not to mix them at assembly:

- injectors;
- the generator, address to the Section Removal and generator installation;
- the detonation sensor on the block of cylinders;
- the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid;
- a starter, address to the Section Removal and installation, starter check;
- sensor of level of oil;
- sensor of provision of a cranked shaft;
- sensor of the index of pressure of oil.

The fuel system of the engine is under pressure! Before opening of shlangovy connections put on them a thick rag. Then, having carefully disconnected a hose, remove pressure. There is a danger of emergence of a fire, do not smoke!

13 Disconnect submitting and returnable fuel hoses (arrows on an illustration).

14 Unscrew bolts of fastening and disconnect a support of the inlet pipeline (an arrow on an illustration).

15 Unscrew bolts of fastening and disconnect the lower part of the inlet pipeline at a head of cylinders.

1 Replace all sealing rings.
2 Evenly cross-wise tighten bolts of fastening of the lower part of the inlet pipeline to a head of cylinders the efforts given in Specifications.

18 Fix bolts a support of the inlet pipeline.

3 Fix submitting and returnable fuel pipelines.

At installation it is necessary to replace a collar of the returnable pipeline. Submitting pipeline fix the moment of 20 N • m.

4 Attach electric wires to the following elements:

- injectors;
- the generator, address to the Section Removal and generator installation;
- the detonation sensor at the block of cylinders;
- the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid;
- a starter, address to the Section Removal and installation, starter check;
- sensor of level of oil;
- sensor of provision of a cranked shaft;
- sensor of the index of pressure of oil.
5 Fix the cable channel at the engine.
6 Fix directing pipe of the index of level of oil.
7 Put on a hose of cooling liquid the lower part of the inlet pipeline and fix a collar.

8 Fix the top part of the inlet pipeline.

9 Put on a vacuum hose to the inlet pipeline on the amplifier of a brake.

10 Fix the top part of the inlet pipeline at a forward support, and also at a back support. Put on a vacuum hose-1-.

11 Insert an air hose between a box of the air filter and a branch pipe of a butterfly valve and fix collars.
12 Connect a gas drive at a butterfly valve branch pipe, address to the Section Removal, installation and adjustment of a drive of a butterfly valve.
13 Establish into place an airmodular box, address to the Section Removal and installation of a box of an air inlet.
14 Connect a negative cable (-) the storage battery at the switched-off ignition. Establish hours.

5 Rasstykuytes I will corrode an injector of idling and a resonant zaslonka at a butterfly valve branch pipe.
6 Unscrew bolts of fastening and remove cable mine under a butterfly valve branch pipe.

7 Disconnect a hose oil plum at a directing pipe of the index of level of oil, previously having weakened collar fastening.

8 Unscrew directing pipe of the index of level of oil at the inlet pipeline.

9 Unscrew fastening bolts (arrows on an illustration) and remove a butterfly valve branch pipe together with consolidation.

10 Uncover mouths of filling of oil. Hook a screw-driver small covers (arrows on an illustration) and remove. Weaken the bolts lying under them. Remove 2 plastic facings.

11 Take out shtekerny connections of sensors of oxygen (an arrow on an illustration). Rasstykuyte I will corrode the electromagnetic valve of VANOS system.

12 Lift and take aside a shtekerny level of injectors.

13 Take out electric wires from lateral facing at the water tank. For this purpose remove up a rubber level-1-. Turn on 1/4 turns clips-2-lateral facings and take out. Take out upward lateral facing.

14 Disconnect a branch pipe of ventilation of a case. Thus compress connection (two arrows at the left).

The fuel system of the engine is under pressure! Before opening of shlangovy connections impose on it a thick layer of a rag. Then, having carefully disconnected a hose, remove pressure. There is a danger of emergence of a fire, do not smoke!

15 At first disconnect the toplivopodayushchy pipeline-1-. Then disconnect the returnable pipeline of fuel-2-at the distributive highway for what weaken collars. After removal collars should be surely replaced.

At some models the submitting pipeline is attached directly to the distributive highway. In this case the sealing ring at installation should be surely replaced and be greased with technical vaseline. Fuel hoses can fasten also brackets. In this case the special BMW-16 1 050 tool is necessary for an otvorachivaniye of brackets. A sealing ring before installation check. In the presence of damages replace, address to the Section Removal and installation of injectors.

16 Disconnect a support at the inlet pipeline.
17 Check, that on the inlet pipeline all hoses were disconnected.

18 Unscrew bolts of fastening and remove the inlet pipeline from a head of cylinders (an arrow on an illustration). Attention: Watch that any details did not get to inlet cavities.

1 Establish to the place of the inlet pipeline at a head of cylinders and fix it evenly bolts cross-wise. Before installation check all sealing rings, damaged replace.

2 Fix a support of the inlet pipeline.
3 Fix at the inlet pipeline directing pipe of the index of level of oil.
4 Put on a hose of return of oil at a directing pipe of the index of level and fix it a collar.
5 Fix a butterfly valve branch pipe with a new sealing ring.
6 Join the socket of an injector of idling and a resonant zaslonka of a branch pipe of a butterfly valve.
7 Fix mine of cables under a butterfly valve branch pipe.
8 Fix to a butterfly valve branch pipe a drive of gas and adjust it, address to the Section Removal, installation and adjustment of a drive of a butterfly valve.
9 Fix new collars submitting and returnable топливопроводы the distributive highway. Put new sealing rings, address to the subsection "Removal".
10 Fix connection for case ventilation.
11 Join the socket of sensors of oxygen and the electromagnetic VANOS valve.
12 Put on a shtekerny level of injectors.
13 Insert the socket at a water modular compartment. Turn on 1/4 turns clips-1-lateral facings and fix.
14 Fix two assembly covers. Establish covers of bolts of fastening.
15 Screw a cover on a branch pipe for oil filling.
16 Establish an air collector box, address to the Section Removal and installation of a box of an air inlet.
17 Attach a negative cable (-) the storage battery at the switched-off ignition. Establish hours.

4 Disconnect soaking-up pipeline at the AGR valve (A retsirkulyatsiya of the fulfilled gases) for what weaken a collar (the shooter on an illustration).

5 Unscrew bolts of fastening-1-and uncover the engine.

6 Disconnect from holders hoses around the index of level of oil.

7 Disconnect electric wires from lateral facing at the water tank. Remove upward a rubber level-1-. Turn on 1/4 turns clips-2-lateral facings and remove up.

8 Unscrew fastening bolts (arrows on an illustration) and uncover at the left at the engine.

9 Unscrew four bolts of the AGR valve on the inlet pipeline (shooters on an illustration).

The fourth bolt on an illustration is not visible.

10 Unscrew a back bolt of fastening of the inlet pipeline. On an illustration the face natural by a graggers on a back bolt is shown.
11 Take out covers between channels of the inlet pipeline.

12 Unscrew bolts-1-and nuts-2-at the inlet pipeline.

1 Replace all sealing rings.
2 Fix bolts ravnomernokrest-crosswise the inlet pipeline to a head of cylinders.
3 Further installation is carried out in sequence, return to removal.
4 Establish an airmodular box, address to the Section Removal and installation of a box of an air inlet.
5 Attach a negative cable (-) the storage battery at the switched-off ignition. Establish hours.
