Removal and installation of injectors

Fuel distributive highway


1 — a vacuum hose of a regulator of pressure of fuel 2 — a fuel branch pipe	3 — a fastening point 4 — a safety lock

New injectors have preservation. Through 5 mines of work they owing to passable fuel are released from preservation. After removal from the engine injectors should not be stored long owing to danger of their corrosion.

REMOVAL

1 Remove an airmodular box, address to the Section Removal and installation of a box of an air inlet.

Models 316i, 318i

2 Remove the top part of the inlet pipeline, address to the Section Removal and installation of the inlet pipeline.

The fuel system is under pressure! Before an otvorachivaniye of shlangovy connection put on it a thick rag. After that carefully remove pressure in a hose. There is a danger of a fire, do not smoke.

3 Clear fuel lines. Then unscrew submitting and returnable pipelines.

4 Turn out 2 bolts of fastening of the fuel distributive highway.

Models 320i, 323i, 328i

5 Remove the top cover of the engine.

6 Unscrew screws of fastening-1-and remove a shtekerny level up from injectors.

2–tip of coils of ignition.

7 Turn out fastening screws (arrows on an illustration) to the fuel distributive highway. Instruction: On an illustration the cover of the engine is not shown.

8 Rasstykuytes I will corrode oxygen sensors (2 shooters on the right).

Tips are marked, that them not to mix at assembly.

9 Remove a shtekerny level of injectors and put aside.

The fuel system is under pressure! Before an otvorachivaniye of shlangovy connection put on it a thick rag. After that carefully remove pressure in a hose. There is a danger of a fire, do not smoke.

10 Clear fuel pipelines a cold cleaner. Then, at first disconnect submitting топливопровод-1-(from the filter), and then a returnable hose-2-on the fuel distributive highway for what weaken collars. After an otvorachivaniye it is necessary to replace collars with the new.

Mark hoses not to mix them at assembly (address to an illustration).

11 At some models fuel hoses are fixed by means of lock brackets. For removal compress brackets nippers of HAZET No. 4501-1 or the similar tool (shooters on an illustration).

Check a sealing ring before installation. In the presence of damages replace.

12 Turn out fastening bolts (arrows on an illustration) to the fuel distributive highway.

13 Disconnect a vacuum hose-1-at a regulator of pressure of fuel.
14 Take out the fuel distributive highway complete with injectors up from a head of cylinders. Injectors are simply inserted and can easily be taken out.
15 Remove a safety lock and take out an injector.

INSTALLATION

Replace the deformed sealing rings-1-, thus remember the provision of rings-2-. Rings-1-before installation grease with vaseline or transmission oil. Do not apply some impellent oil, it negatively influences rubber.

16 Insert injectors into the fuel distributive highway and fix brackets.

17 Evenly press the fuel distributive highway with injectors into a head of cylinders.
18 Fix the fuel distributive highway on a head of cylinders.
19 Fix hoses of return and supply of fuel on the distributive highway. Establish new collars and sealing rings, address to the subsection "Removal".
20 Establish a shtekerny level for injectors and fix it.
21 Connect to a regulator of pressure of fuel a vacuum hose.
22 Models 316i, 318i: Establish the top part of the inlet pipeline, address to the Section Removal and installation of the inlet pipeline.
23 Models 320i, 323i, 328i: Join shtekerny connections of sensors of oxygen and fix them. Fix an engine cover.
