Brake liquid - the main data and security measures At work with brake liquid it is necessary to observe the following:
1 Brake liquid is poisonous. At all do not suck away brake liquid a mouth through a hose. Store brake liquid in capacity casual access to which is excluded. 2 Brake liquid is aggressive. Exclude its contact to a paint and varnish covering. If it occurred, immediately wipe liquid and wash out water. 3 Brake liquid is hygroscopic, that is it absorbs the liquid containing in air. Therefore brake liquid should be stored only in the closed capacities. 4 Brake liquid which was used already once in braking system, repeatedly to apply it is not allowed. At removal from brake system of air also it is necessary to apply only new brake liquid. 5 Type of brake liquid is given in Specifications. About possibility of application of other brake liquids it is necessary to consult at specialists of BMW firm. 6 contact of brake liquid to mineral oils is not allowed. Insignificant traces of mineral oil do brake liquid unsuitable and lead to failure of brake system. Jams and cuffs of brake system are damaged, if they contact to the means containing mineral oils. It is impossible to apply the rags impregnated with mineral oils to cleaning of elements of system. It is necessary to replace 7 Brake liquid each two years, irrespective of the passable distance in kilometers. Replacement of brake liquid is recommended to be carried out after a cold season.
