Removal, installation and check of the traction relay of a starter

In the presence of damage of the traction relay its gear wheel does not enter into gearing with a gear wreath of a flywheel. Thereof the starter cannot turn the engine. This defect is shown more often than malfunction of the electric motor of a starter.

Check without removal

1 Establish the gear shifting lever in neutral situation.

Operation of lifting and car installation on supports is connected with danger! Therefore before carrying out operation familiarize with Poddomkrachivaniye's Section and towage

2 Lift and establish the car on supports. Remove the bottom cover of an impellent compartment, address to the Section Removal and installation of the bottom cover of an impellent compartment.

3 Connect накоротко an auxiliary cable a thick positive cable of the plug 30 and the plug 50 for a thin cable of the lock of ignition at a starter. REMOVAL

4 Remove a starter, address to the Section Removal and installation, starter check.
5 Repeat check on the removed starter by means of the automobile storage battery. As a wire to the plug 50 of a starter the starting cable is used. If the gear wheel is pushed forward, and the starter does not rotate, hand over a starter in repair on HUNDRED.
6 If the gear wheel is not put forward, disconnect the traction relay and replace it.

INSTALLATION

7 Condense a joint - starter F-with hermetic.

8 Connect the traction relay to a starter fork, then fix.
9 Fix a relay wire.
10 Check a starter again as it is described above.
11 Establish a starter, address to the Section Removal and installation, starter check.
