Check of the sensor of a stock of fuel

In the course of decrease in level of fuel in a tank the float in the stock sensor falls also. Thus resistance of the sensor having sliding contact at the same time decreases. The microprocessor in the dashboard block proceeding from resistance of the sensor and other data calculates fuel level in a tank and deduces data on the dashboard. Both sensors are checked equally.

The fuel pump in the right sensor of a stock can be checked only on HUNDRED.


1 Remove the sensor.
2 Attach an ohmmeter to plugs of the tip of the sensor of a stock.
3 Keep the sensor in working situation. Thus the float is below and the indicator on the panel shows “A fuel reserve”. Demanded value of resistance: 70 ± 2 Ohm.
4 Turn the sensor on a corner 180 ° (put it on the head), thus the float is above. The indicator on the panel shows "full".

Demanded value:
right sensor 402 ± 6 Ohm
left sensor 362 ± 6 Ohm
5 if necessary replace in a set the damaged sensor of a stock.

Sensors are delivered only in a set, separate details cannot be replaced.
