Removal and installation of the bearing of a wheel For removal the special BMW tool is required.
| If on turn, in particular, on abrupt turn, there is a noise around an external wheel, it indicates damage of the bearing of a wheel. |
|
1 Mark paint the provision of the corresponding forward wheel concerning a nave. It will allow to establish at assembly an otbalansirovanny wheel in its former situation. Weaken bolts of fastening of a wheel at the car standing on the earth. Lift a forward part of the car, put it on supports and remove a forward wheel. 2 Hook a screw-driver and uncover naves. A cover surely replace with the new. At installation the cover which was in the use does not provide necessary tightness.

3 Bring down a chisel a stopper (the shooter on an illustration) nuts with a neck-1-. |

4 Fix a forward wheel and lower the car on wheels. |
5 Unscrew a nut with a neck.
| The nut is tightened by the big moment therefore at its otvorachivaniye the car should stand wheels on the earth. That at a nut otvorachivaniye the wheel could not be turned, ask the assistant to press a brake pedal. |
6 Remove a support and fix it a wire, address to the Section Removal and installation directing a forward brake. 7 Remove a brake disk, address to the Section Removal and installation of a brake disk of a forward wheel.

8 Disconnect the pulse ABS-1-sensor from a rotary fist-2-. |
9 Remove a nave by means of a stripper and available bolts of fastening of a wheel together with bearings.
| The removed knot (a nave with bearings) the bearing repeatedly should not be applied.
If the internal ring of the bearing does not act in film from a rotary fist, remove a guard and a protective cover and then remove a ring by means of a stripper. For removal of a guard turn out a face key three M6 screws at internal diameter. |

10 If the guard acted in film, put it with a new cover into place. 11 Screw on all length of a carving of a rotary fist the directing BMW-312110 plug which is available in a set of the tool. 12 Put on a fist by means of the BMW-312110 tool new knot of the bearing. Remove directing plug. 13 Slightly screw a new nut with a neck. 14 Establish and fix the pulse ABS sensor. 15 Establish a brake disk, address to the Section Removal and installation of a brake disk of a forward wheel. 16 Establish a support, address to the Section Removal and installation directing a forward brake. 17 Establish into place a forward wheel so that the markings put at removal coincided. Previously grease with a thin layer of bearing greasing aligning belt of a disk of a wheel on a nave. Bolts of fastening of a wheel do not grease. Rusty bolts replace. Wrap bolts. 18 Lower the car on wheels, include transfer, tighten the parking brake. For fixing of a forward wheel ask the assistant to press a brake pedal. 19 Fix a nut with a neck the moment of 290 N • m and расчеканьте it. For this purpose a fillet of a nut hammer with a drift into a groove of an axis of a fist.
| If the nut was tightened once by the established moment, repeatedly it is impossible to apply bearing knot. |
20 Grease with hermetic, for example, to Lоctite 638 a cover of a nave and deliver it into place. It is necessary to replace a cover surely. At installation of earlier used cover tightness cannot be provided. In this case the got water can damage the wheel bearing within a short period of time. 21 Tighten bolts of fastening of a wheel cross-wise the moment of 100 N • m. |
